Product description
-Philips Avent Natural Response AirFree SCY670/02 -feeding bottle -125 ml capacity -Natural Response slow-flow teat -AirFree insert keeps milk in the teat during feeding -parts disassemble for washing and sterilization -new condition The Philips Avent Natural Response AirFree SCY670/02 is a 125 ml bottle with a teat that releases milk during active sucking. The AirFree insert helps keep the teat filled with milk, even when the bottle is held more horizontally. The white ring and green insert correspond to the SCY670/02 version. The parts can be disassembled for thorough washing and sterilization. Choose the teat flow based on your baby’s feeding style; if feeding difficulties persist, the manufacturer recommends consulting a specialist. Care and safety Wash all parts before each use and check their condition. Disassemble the bottle after feeding, rinse thoroughly, and sterilize according to the instructions. During feeding, position the AirFree insert facing upward, in line with your baby’s nose. The manufacturer’s full instructions for use and warnings are provided below. Before first use, it is advisable to check the manufacturer’s instructions, age recommendations, cleaning guidelines, and any compatibility with other accessories. For products intended for infants and young children, check the product regularly and stop using it at the first signs of damage or wear. For products used with other components, also confirm the dimensions, model, size, or compatibility with your existing equipment before purchasing. If the product is available in multiple colors or versions, the image and packaging label should be treated as final confirmation of the specific version. ENGLISH Read all instructions carefully before use. Keep the instructions and product packaging for future reference. Choosing the right teat matters: Every baby develops at their own pace. Some babies master sucking sooner than others. Therefore, Natural First Flow teats (Teat 0) may be more suitable at first, before your baby is ready to use a Natural Response teat. When should you change the teat? Consider switching to a Natural First Flow teat if your baby takes more than 20 minutes to drink 50 ml of milk using a Natural Response teat. Conversely, if your baby plays with the teat instead of drinking or shows signs of frustration, try a Natural Response teat with a faster flow. If feeding difficulties persist, consult a doctor. For your child’s safety and health WARNING! - Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids can cause tooth decay. - Always check the temperature of the food before feeding. - Discard at the first signs of damage or wear. - Keep unused parts out of reach of children. - Never attach to cords, ribbons, lace, or loose parts of clothing. Your child could be strangled. - Never use bottle teats as pacifiers. - Always use this product under adult supervision. Heating food and drinks for children in a microwave is not recommended. Microwaves can destroy valuable nutrients in food/drinks and may also cause localized overheating. If you decide to use a microwave, take special care to stir the heated food/drink to ensure even heat distribution, and check the temperature before serving. Place the container in the microwave without the screw ring, AirFree anti-colic insert, teat, or cap. Do not let children play with small parts or walk/run while using the bottle. Always discard any food left over after feeding. Before each use, carefully check the product and stretch the teat in all directions. Discard at the first signs of damage or wear (e.g., any parts that are cracked, deformed, sticky, or otherwise damaged). AirFree anti-colic insert The AirFree anti-colic insert keeps the teat completely filled with milk during feeding, even when the bottle is held horizontally. This makes it easier to feed your baby in an upright position and helps reduce air swallowing. It also helps address common feeding problems such as gas and reflux. Before first use Disassemble all parts, wash them, then sterilize them by boiling in water for 5 minutes or using a Philips Avent sterilizer. This ensures an adequate level of hygiene. Assembly Make sure the teat is fully pulled through the screw ring (fig. 1, 2). Insert the AirFree anti-colic insert into the bottle before attaching the screw ring with the teat (fig. 3). Warning: When preparing food, make sure it is fully dissolved to prevent the AirFree anti-colic insert from becoming blocked. Note: Before feeding your baby, fill the teat with milk by turning the bottle (with the AirFree anti-colic insert) upside down. Then turn the feeding bottle so that the AirFree anti-colic insert faces upward and is aligned with your baby’s nose (fig. 6). Philips Avent bottles can also be used without the AirFree anti-colic insert. Cleaning and storage Clean all parts before each use to ensure hygiene. After each use, disassemble all parts, wash them in warm, soapy water, remove all food residue, and rinse thoroughly. If you use a cleaning brush on the tip of the feeding teat, clean as carefully as possible to avoid damage. Then sterilize the parts using a Philips Avent sterilizer or by boiling them for 5 minutes. Before handling sterilized parts, wash your hands and the surface on which you intend to place them thoroughly. When sterilizing in boiling water, make sure the parts do not touch the sides of the pot. This may cause irreversible deformation or damage to the product, for which Philips accepts no responsibility. Food colorants may stain the parts. This product is dishwasher safe. Do not place the product in a heated oven. Do not place bottle components directly on surfaces cleaned with abrasive or antibacterial cleaning agents, and do not allow the components to come into contact with such surfaces. It is recommended that feeding teats be replaced every 3 months. Store the parts in a covered, dry container. Do not leave the feeding teat and/or AirFree anti-colic insert in direct sunlight or in a hot place, or soak them in disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for longer than recommended, as this may damage the parts. Compatibility The AirFree anti-colic insert is suitable for use with all Philips Avent bottles except glass bottles, Natural 60 ml bottles, and older-style Natural teats (fig. 7). Replacement teats are available separately. For more information about choosing the right teat for your baby, visit www.philips.com/avent. Support If you need more information or help, visit www.philips.com/support. ENGLISH Choosing the right teat is important: If your newborn consistently does not drink enough milk during a feeding session or has difficulty drawing milk, switch to a teat with a faster flow. If feeding problems persist, seek advice from a midwife or pediatrician. FAQ What is the bottle’s capacity? The capacity of one bottle of this model is 125 ml. How does the Natural Response teat work? Milk flows when your baby actively sucks. The flow works differently from free-flowing teats, so choose the flow rate to suit your baby’s needs. Can the bottle be used without the AirFree insert? Yes. The manufacturer’s instructions allow the bottle to be used without the AirFree insert. When using the insert, follow the instructions for filling the teat and positioning the bottle.
